The Na Homolce Hospital was constructed between 1984 and 1989 as a medical facility for top communist functionaries. In mid-1990s, the Na Homolce Hospital set its vision and established a clear strategy of development. Its aim was to create a first-class facility as part of the Czech public health system which would be in high demand. Efforts to provide high-quality professional services were complemented by the aim of achieving highly comprehensive specialized programs.
The basic objective of the Na Homolce Hospital is to provide high-quality specialized care tailored to the needs of our clients in a cost-effective manner. The hospital was decided that it would focus on two specialized areas - the treatment of diseases of the heart and blood vessels and treatments of the nervous system, where Prague and the Central Bohemian region were lacking sufficient capacity to treat patients. The hospitals specialties are grouped into three priority clinical programs, in which all the individual departments participate:
- Cardiovascular Program
- Neuroprogram
- General Medical Care Program
- Diagnostic Services
The mission of our hospital as we defined it is to become one of the most advanced specialized hospitals in Europe.
